The Ivorian Football Federation has announced that former French international of Tunisian descent Sabri Lamouchi has been appointed as the new coach of the Elephants.
The 40-year old
former French international replaces Francois Zahoui who just guided the
Elephants to a 2-1 win friendly win over Guinea.
He was surprisingly
picked from a list of high profile names including former England
manager Sven Goran Eriksson, ex-Senegal coach Bruno Metsu and former PSG
coach Antoine Kombouare.
This is the first coaching job the French man is picking up since retiring in 2001.
